Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Scanverra (the "Service"), operated by Scanverra ("we", "us", or "our") at scanverra.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Scanverra is an AI-powered SaaS platform that audits websites for performance, SEO, accessibility, security, and code quality. The Service includes tools such as Website Audit, Browser Tester, Security Scanner, and Repo Scanner, along with AI-generated explanations and code fixes.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Audit results are informational only and are not a guarantee of your website's actual performance, security, or compliance status.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or are inactive for an extended period.

3. Free Tier and Paid Plans

The Service offers a free tier with limited usage and paid subscription plans (Pro and Team). Free tier limits apply per tool (Browser Test, Security Scanner, Repo Scanner) as described on the Pricing page.

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges at the rate shown at checkout. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.

We reserve the right to change plan prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Subscriptions, Cancellation, and Reactivation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing page. We offer two cancellation modes:

Cancel at end of billing cycle

Your next payment will not be charged. You retain full access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.

Cancel Immediately

Your subscription is cancelled and access is revoked immediately. No partial refund is issued unless you are within the 7-day money-back window described in our Refund Policy.

Cancellation is permanent - reactivation requires a new subscription

Once a subscription is cancelled (via either mode above), it moves to a cancelled state and cannot be reversed or reactivated. This is a limitation of the Razorpay subscription system. To regain paid access after cancellation, you must purchase a new subscription from the Pricing page. Your new billing cycle starts from the date of repurchase.

If you cancel and repurchase within the same billing period, you will be charged again from the new purchase date. We recommend using "Cancel at end of cycle" to avoid being charged twice in the same period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to audit websites you do not own or have permission to test.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
Use the Service to distribute malware, conduct phishing, or engage in any illegal activity.
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without written permission.
Circumvent usage limits or access controls.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

6. API Access

If you use Scanverra's API, you must keep your API key confidential. API usage is subject to rate limits and the same acceptable use restrictions above. We may revoke API access if it causes undue load on our infrastructure or violates these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

Scanverra and its content, logos, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Using the Service does not grant you ownership of any Scanverra content.

Audit reports generated from your websites belong to you. You grant us a limited licence to process and store your website data solely to provide the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google (Sign-In, PageSpeed Insights), GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and Razorpay (payments). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scanverra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service - including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that audit results are complete, error-free, or appropriate for your specific compliance or security requirements.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Active subscriptions are cancelled on termination and no refund is issued beyond what is described in our Refund Policy. Sections 7, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by emailing registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
