Your page title will appear here

Your meta description will appear here, wrapped and truncated the way Google typically renders it.

What this covers

A realistic preview, not a character-count guess.

Pixel-based truncation

Measures rendered text width, not character count - two titles with the same length can truncate differently depending on which letters they use.

Desktop preview

Matches the wider title and description widths Google typically renders on a desktop results page.

Mobile preview

A narrower layout that truncates sooner, matching how the same result looks on a phone.

How it works

No account, no API call - everything runs in your browser.

Enter your URL, title & description

The same fields Google reads from your page's '<head>'.

See it rendered live

A real-looking Google result, updating as you type.

Check the pixel width

Toggle desktop and mobile to see exactly where each gets cut off.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Google truncates by pixel width, not character count. Wide characters like "W" or "M" and capital letters take up more space than narrow ones like "i" or "l" - two 60-character titles can render at very different widths.

It's a close approximation using the pixel widths and fonts most SERP-preview tools reference, not a guarantee - Google's actual rendering varies by device, locale, and ongoing layout changes it doesn't publish in advance.

Mobile search results render in a narrower column, so the same title and description wrap and truncate sooner than they would on a wider desktop results page.

Not directly as a ranking factor, but a compelling description affects click-through rate - and Google frequently rewrites or replaces your description anyway if it thinks a snippet from the page itself answers the query better.
